Description
The EZ-GO Travel Power Chair by Merits Health is an ideal portable power chair for getting out and about.
The lightweight chair easily disassembles into three pieces for convenient transport into your car, van or storage area. Whether you’re on a weekend trip or cruise vacation, the portable EZ-GO will keep you independent.
What Makes This Different
There are two versions of the EZ-GO: the EZ-GO and EZ-GO Deluxe. Both have a maximum speed of 4 miles per hour, a tight 23” turning radius and a generous 18” wide x 16” deep x 18” high seat making it the highest seat back on a portable power chair.
The differences between the two models are in the weight capacity, drive range, and ground clearance and available colors.
The EZ-GO has a 250 lbs. weight capacity, up to 9 mile drive range, a 1.8” ground clearance, and is available in red or blue.
The Deluxe version is more robust with a 300 lbs. weight capacity, up to 12 miles drive range, higher 2.25’ ground clearance and comes in white, pink or turquoise.

Why We Like It
The simplicity of the EZ-GO Travel Power Chair’s disassembly and transportability make it a great secondary power chair for when you are traveling and need a smaller frame.
We like the handle on the base underneath the seat which makes it easy to take apart for travel. The EZ-GO’s heaviest piece is just 42 pounds, while the EZ-GO Deluxe’s heaviest piece is 54 lbs.
Though this chair features lightweight construction, the durable steel frame ensures that you stay supported wherever you go.

Measuring Guide
|
|
|
Seat Depth1 Measure from the most posterior point of the body to the inside of the knee, minus at least two inches. Some prefer more leg overhang to make room for their hand when lifting their leg.
Back Height2 Measured from the seat base to the top of the chair back. Power wheelchair riders need upper back support, particularly for the moment of initial acceleration.
Hanger Angle3 Determines how far the toes extend away from the body, measured from the horizontal. A tighter angle allows the electric power wheelchair to turn around in less space. Depends in part on ability of the knee to bend towards the perpendicular.
Seat Width4 Determined by the widest point of the body from knee to hip, plus an inch to ensure room to move. Consider bulk of clothing, particularly a heavy winter coat, if relevant.
Front Seat to Floor5 Measure the leg from the back of the knee to the sole of the foot. Then subtract the thickness of the cushion when it is compressed. Next, add a minimum of two inches for footrest clearance. Electric power wheelchairs are almost never foot-propelled by the user - so excluding the additional two inch footrest height for propelling is very rare.
